High-altitude cross-country trails with a total length of 12 kilometres are located in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl region. Thanks to the altitude of 1,930 metres, the best conditions for trying out cross-country skis can be found here from December until late spring.

Sport at an altitude of about 2,000 metres is not only blessed with lots of snow but is also extremely beneficial to your health. So that beginners get their money's worth too, there is a two-kilometre-long practice track in Obergurgl for all beginners.

On the Pill-Angern-Poschach high-altitude cross-country trail you can enjoy stunning nature over seven kilometres. Starting at the Hochgurgl gondola bottom station, the route runs in a slight and moderate ascent to the Königsrain and Alt-Poschach parts of town before the cross-country ski run takes you along the Gurgler Ache back to your starting point.
