At 1,800 to 3,080 metres above sea level, you can enjoy the best slopes in Ötztal in ski areas with the most reliable snow conditions in the Alps. Here, high above the tree line, ski enthusiasts experience many hours of sunshine carving up the 110 kilometres of slopes. Thanks to modern cable cars, the waiting time for the comfortable ascent is reduced to a minimum and they take you back to the start totally relaxed – paradise for winter sports enthusiasts!
There are nine gondolas in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area, which not only speed up the ascent, but also offer exceptional comfort. With the Hochgurgl gondola sections 1 and 2 as well as the Hohe Mut cable car and the Kirchenkarbahn gondola, each with two sections, the Topexpress Gurgl as well as the Festkogelbahn and the Top Schermerbahn 3000, there is nothing standing in the way of a quick start to your day on the slopes.
A total of 25 lifts will take you to your destination in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area. Nine of these are comfortable gondolas, and there are also nine chair lifts for a relaxed ascent and six drag lifts, as well as a magic carpet for beginners. Thanks to short waiting times, you spend more time on the slopes than at the lift here. So you can make full use of your day in the snow and thoroughly enjoy it.
Everyone will find what they are looking for on 112 kilometres of pure fun on the slopes. From beginners to the more experienced and professionals, all guests can choose the right downhill run for them. 60 kilometres of easy, blue slopes are ideal for those who are not comfortable on skis yet or simply want to take it easy. Things get a bit faster on the moderate red slopes. 33 kilometres are waiting for anyone who likes things a bit more demanding. 10 black, difficult downhill runs are waiting for anyone who already has a good command of winter sports equipment and dares to take on the steep slopes. All these slopes are covered in artificial snow, but there are also 4 natural snow routes to discover in the ski area.
